Do you like to write about travel around Thailand? So do we. Like to get a link back to your travel blog or travel website in exchange for writing a quality article? Help us and help yourself at the same time.  We are constantly looking for interesting new content. Do you have a story to tell? Why not share it with TravelTipsThailand.com readers?

Before submitting your story, though, please have a good look at TravelTipsThailand.com to get familiar with our writing style. We like to cover lots of different aspects of travel destinations in Thailand, from the regional level to specific cities, towns and even neighbourhoods. We write about the locations/destinations in general and also about specific things we did/saw there (adventures), places we stayed (accommodation) and places we ate or had a good time. Stories should provide a strong sense of place and experience, but also include the details readers  need to repeat this experience on their own.

Guidelines for guest posting:

The topic can be anything directly related to travelling in Thailand, or even between Thailand and other nearby countries. We prefer personal narratives,  detailed location guides, reviews of places you’ve stayed or tours you’ve enjoyed, details about upcoming festivals and events, photo galleries and similar articles. Please search our site first to ensure the topic you wish to write about isn’t already here. But even if it is, and you believe you can expand on it significantly, we’re open to improvement ideas.

Guest post submissions will be checked for originality, content quality and style. We may ask you to revise your submission if we don’t believe it provides the value our readers are looking for.

Your post must be original. This is non-negotiable. If your article subsequently appears somewhere else, it will be removed immediately from our website.

We will always give preference to personal experience articles over researched articles.

We like to publish at least one or two photos with each article. These should be original photos you have taken and which you have the right to publish. They should ideally be 575 pixels wide.

If you are writing about a particular location, please include the latitude and longitude of that location so we can include a Google Map.

How to submit a guest post

Articles should be at least 500 words in length and may be up to 2000 words. Submit your articles in the body of an email message, not as an MS Word file. Include a photo of yourself and a few paragraphs about your travel experiences and we will include these in the author credits. Also include a link to your website and/or social media page.

If you would like to be sure your guest post will be published, send us an outline first and we’ll get back to you with some suggestions.

Guest posts may not be published immediately. They will be put into a publishing schedule and published according to our needs.

We always tweet new articles and publish a link to them on Facebook. We’d of course appreciate if you could do the same, so we’ll notify you immediately when your guest post has been published. We will also share your photos on Pinterest and publicise your post on other social sharing websites.
