After you purchase a drink, you should give the waitress a small tip. These waitresses tend to provide small coins as the change to their customers because they’re hoping the customers will leave some of those coins as tips.
Some favorite Thai alcoholic beverages include a strong whiskey known as “Samsom” and a rum known as “Hong Thong.” It is cheap, so it is worth a try.
Thailand is a great place to visit if you’re a backpacker. The Thai people are friendly, the weather is generally hot, and it is affordable to travel around. Of course, as a backpacker, try not to pack too much. Make sure your shirts and underwear are made of cotton material. These can be cheap T-shirts and underpants that you don’t mind getting dirty. Also, keep a small torch and keylock packed away just in case.
When you visit Bangkok, you can meet up with other backpackers from around the world at Khao San Road. You can find heaps of things to do on this road because of the bars, travel agencies, nightclubs, guest houses, and food stands there.
